Childcare

Responsibilities may include:

• -Welcome families and provide a friendly, fun, and safe environment for the children.
• -Provide snacks for children, with light tidying of the room.
• -Assist with personal hygiene, including diaper changes for infants if necessary.

Requirements:

-Dependable and able to work independently.

• -Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable interacting with families and children.
• -Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for families and their circumstances.
• -Exercise good judgment.
• -Volunteer orientation and any required training/background screening as determined by Family Promise.

Time Commitment:

• Typically evenings; times/dates/durations will vary, but only once per month commitment.

Impact:

• Your presence helps ensure families in need have continued access to vital resources and a welcoming and safe place for them to learn life skills as their children are being safely cared for in the next room.

• To help families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve sustainable independence through community-based support.
