About This Opportunity

Responsibilities may include:

  • - Open and close the Family Center at the beginning and end of your shift.
  • - Welcome families and provide a friendly, supportive presence.
  • - Ensure families have access to amenities such as laundry facilities, showers, internet, phones, and common areas.
  • - Monitor the facility to help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
  • - Answer basic questions and contact Family Promise staff if urgent needs or emergencies arise.
  • - Perform light tidying and help prepare the center for the next day.

Requirements:

  • - Dependable and able to work independently.
  • - Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable interacting with families and children.
  • - Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
  • - Volunteer orientation and any required training/background screening as determined by Family Promise.

Time Commitment:

  • Weekend shifts (days and times vary).
